ACHAP biennial meeting February 2015: Family Planning Pre-Conference Session Meeting Report

Christian Connections for International Health (through the Advancing Partners & Communities Project), E2A, and Georgetown University’s Institute for Reproductive Health  joined to co-host a pre-conference session on family planning at ACHAP’s biennial meeting, on February 23, 205, that sought to empower participating organizations to improve the health of families in their communities through high-quality, accessible family planning services. The pre-conference session, entitled “Faith-Based Leadership in Africa: An Integral Part of Improving Family Planning and Reproductive Health,” allowed for robust discussions and shared learning on data-collection and dissemination tools, developing quality improvement teams and standards, and tools that can be applied to reach out to specific populations, such as religious leaders, men, and youth. The participants included Christian Health Associations and religious leaders.
