Webinar: Putting the “S” into AYSRH: Sexuality, Sexual Health, and Human Rights

September 28, 2015

Hosts: E2A and the Youth Health and Rights Coalition

Please join us for the fourth in a series of technical exchanges on AYSRH topics hosted by E2A and the Youth Health and Rights Coalition.
Although there is a growing awareness of the rights-based approach to AYSRH, the majority of adolescents and young people are still denied their right to access comprehensive information and services related to sexuality and sexual and reproductive health and rights. While progress has been made since the 1994 International Conference on Population and Development, discrimination against young people’s sexuality and inequalities continue to limit the scope, reach and impact of sexual health and rights interventions for young people.

Join us for a discussion on how can we advance an agenda that ensures young people’s access to information and services and entitles them to make autonomous informed choices, while firmly positioning sexuality and sexual health as priorities in policies, programs, and service delivery.

Speakers:

  • Bergen Cooper, Senior Policy Research Advocate, Center for Health and Gender Equality
  • Katie Chau, Senior Youth Advisor, E2A
  • Dorothy Aken'Ova, International Centre for Reproductive Health and Sexual Rights Nigeria
  • Rajat Khosla, World Health Organization
