Katie Chau is a Senior Youth Advisor for E2A, based in Dakar, Senegal. She has a proven track record providing technical leadership on youth sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) at the global and national levels. Her experience working with leading NGOs, including the International Planned Parenthood Federation, and with national governments in Benin, Mali and Senegal, has enabled her to gain an in-depth understanding about the diverse determinants of youth SRHR, as well as effective strategies to improve SRHR outcomes for young people. Katie brings notable expertise in multi-country program management, the development of national youth SRHR strategies, international and national advocacy, and youth leadership development. For example, she managed a multi-country program that increased contraceptive use amongst young people by 63%. She also supported the Government of Togo to develop their first adolescent pregnancy and child marriage strategy. Katie has an MSc. in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
